ABOUT JDRF:

The Alabama Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International is a central resource for information about Type I, juvenile diabetes, and the progress our organization and others have made in the search for a CURE.

Under the direction of a volunteer board of directors working with professional staff and volunteers, the Alabama Chapter works to raise money to support JDRF’s mission: To find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Fundraising takes the form of Walk To Cure Diabetes events, black-tie Gala evenings and miscellaneous third party events.

The Alabama Chapter also works on projects involving government advocacy to increase funding for diabetes research and local projects involving diabetes education and outreach to the diabetes community.
